The Cuisinart 66-14 Chef’s Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 14-Piece Cookware Set features a hard anodized exterior that encapsulates a solid aluminum core. The interior is non stick with a durable coating called Quantanium, which is both tough and durable, and keeps food from sticking.
Cuisinart is well-known for its cookware lines, and all cookware sets are designed to last the owner a lifetime. In this in-depth review, I’ll look at the features offered by this set and discuss what other consumers had to say in the many reviews I read online.

Features of the Cuisinart 66-14 Chef’s Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 14-Piece Cookware Set
The Cuisinart 66-14 cookware set exterior is a hard anodized finish over an aluminum core, making it harder than stainless steel. The tough finish is dense and non-porous, which makes it durable and resistant to wear.
The interior of the Cuisinart 66-14 is something called Quantanium. It’s a nonstick surface that has been reinforced with titanium. This type of cooking surface offers healthier cooking with a long lasting non-stick finish. The pieces are easy to clean and are even metal utensil safe.
Professionally riveted, stainless steel handles ensure that the handles will be durable and last for years.
Recently the dark, “charcoal-y” gray color seems to be more and more popular among cookware sets, and the Cuisinart Chef’s Classic Nonstick set is no different. No doubt this color scheme is popular because it’s very neutral. It gives the set a classic and professional look, and the set is attractive enough to display on a pot rack. The see through glass lids have stainless steel handles that match the riveted handles on the pots and pans.
By almost all accounts, where mentioned in reviews, the hard-anodized, nonstick cookware set is lightweight, in good part due to the aluminum core, which is a lighter metal than stainless steel, cast iron, etc. Though lightweight, the set is still sturdy and durable looking.
Flavor Lock Lids
Just like other pots and pans in the Cuisinart lineup, the stainless steel lids are designed to fit each piece tightly, locking in flavor and moisture. The lids are glass and see-through, which helps prevent loss of flavor and moisture since you no longer need to lift the lid to take a peek at your culinary creation.
One thing to note is that a few reviews of this set mentioned that, despite the manufacturer’s claims, the handles on the covers do get hot. So, be sure to handle with care when in use.
Cuisinart states that the Chef’s Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 14-Piece Cookware Set is safe in the dishwasher. That may be; however, as with all of my cookware set reviews, I urge consumers to take the time to hand wash their pots and pans in order to extend the useful life of any set.
Drip Free Rims
Drip free rims are one really nice feature that Cuisinart offers in their cookware sets. The rims are slightly tapered, which means it’s easier to pour out sauces, soups, etc., without making a mess of your stove, counters, or table.
The Cuisinart Chef’s Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 14-Piece Cookware Set is oven safe up to 500° F. With this set, you can cook on the stove top, in the oven, or under the broiler. The set is even freezer safe for easy food storage.
Lifetime Limited Warranty
This cookware set comes with a Lifetime manufacturer’s warranty from Cuisinart.
The hard anodized exterior of the Cuisinart 66-14 cookware makes the set durable and resistant to scratches and dings caused by regular use. The special non-stick coating is also designed to be long lasting.
While Cuisinart claims that you can use metal utensils with this set and wash the pieces in the dishwasher, for the longest possible life, I’d recommend hand washing and using only plastic or silicone coated utensils.
Super easy maintenance is a plus of this non stick cookware. Simply wash with a little soap and water. The non stick coating helps ensure foods will slide right off. As mentioned previously, the dishwasher is an option if you must, but hand washing is better for the overall lifespan of any cookware.
The Cuisinart 66-14 Nonstick Chef’s Classic set has many positive reviews on Amazon.
A woman who identified herself as an “avid home chef” had several great things to say about the Cuisinart Chef’s Classic pots and pans. She felt the Quantanium non-stick finish is even better than the Teflon coating found on most nonstick sets. Less oil or butter is needed and a lower heat setting can be used, thus reducing energy costs over time.
She felt the pots were easy to clean, although stated the rivets on the handles do take a bit more work. Her recommendations for using the set included never using metal utensils and taking the time to handwash the pieces.
Another reviewer pointed out that Amazon had the best price for this set. In his area, the Cuisinart 66-14 cookware ranged from $20 to $50 more. He also remarked that food doesn’t stick at all, the pieces are easy to clean, and he likes the way the set looks. As suggested by the manufacturer, he hangs the set from a pot rack, rather than storing them in a cupboard.
Other comments that were repeated over many reviews included how well the pans heat up and that the heat is distributed evenly. Many people mentioned how easy the set is to clean, and that the Quantanium coating keeps food from sticking.
There were a few complaints noted among the many reviews. Most of the complaints seemed to be about customer service and manufacturing issues. For example, a couple of people received damaged items and weren’t happy with the service received from Amazon or Cuisinart. One person wasn’t happy with the way the lids fit and another felt the pans were too light.
Overall, the set has really good reviews and looks like a decent value for the price. Be sure to visit Amazon to read the most recent reviews before deciding to buy the Cuisinart 66-14 set.
